Our Mission: We aim to promote boxing, health and well being to the City of Tucson. Our purpose is to make a positive impact on the local communities health and lifestyle and also  provide a positive outlet for young people to develop and participate in the local community. Our goals are to promote fitness, discipline, friendship, fair play and respect for the entire community. 

Training

T-Town Boxing and Fitness will help in the development, both mentally and physically through sport and activity by providing activities for all. We offer programs for all age groups with qualified and professional coaching to encourage interaction at different levels to help with confidence, team building, leadership and adaption skills. Increased participation to improve health is at the heart of what we are trying to achieve, in order to achieve this we will offer affordable programs and activities to cater to the entire community. We are welcoming to all ages, abilities and backgrounds and provide an atmosphere of positive encouragement to all of those who are wanting to participate in our programs. We look forward to providing a contemporary and progressive approach to promoting the sport and it’s health benefits while putting an emphasis on the safety of our gym family.

MEET THE OWNER/TRAINER

JAKE WILSON

I grew up in Springfield, Oregon and started boxing at 8 years old. I boxed in amatuers and professional boxing and competed on ESPN Friday Night Fights in 2012. During my time competing I started training fighters and fell in love with teaching boxing and it became my primary focus. I have been teaching boxing for over 10 years and have trained an amateur National and World Champion. I have also taught group fitness classes for over 8 years and worked with all different ages and Fitness levels. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son Dylan. My hobbies are hiking, surfing and cooking, I have lived in Tucson for the past 8 years and love this community.

MEET THE 

TRAINER

FRANK RUIZ

My name is Frank and I got into boxing in 2012 in order to lose some weight. I fell in love with the sport after only one class and now I get to instruct a class and pass on the skills that I have learned. I use a series of boxing mitt drills to teach a client self defense, gain some confidence in one's self and get a great work out.

TRAINER

TYSON LORD

Tyson is a passionate coach with over 30 years experience in karate, boxing, muay thai kickboxing, jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts. In his 8 years as a coach he has trained two MMA state champions and his fighters have won numerous fights and awards at local shows. Whether it's for competition, self defense, or stress management and positive mindset, he's ready to help you make that journey to change for the better!

"I first started training with Jake Wilson in 2012 a little ways into my Amateur MMA career Jake noticed my boxing could use some serious work, so that's what we did. Jakes attention to detail and workouts took me from a below average striker to later competing in 2 boxing matches, the first I won by TKO early in the second round. The 2nd match I went to a sudden death OT and lost a split decision to a now top tier bantaweight in the UFC. As I ventured into my professional career, I traveled to multiple high level gyms across the US, 20 MMA fights later and the onne thing that everyone seemed to say stood out was my hand speed and boxig abilities which all traslate back to the beginning where coach Jake embedded the proper fundamentals to build off of, thanks coach Jake!"
